Current & Future Programs

Animation

We propose the creation of a new Animation Program, which will involve a combination of revised Digital Arts classes and newly developed Animation courses and Certificates currently undergoing the CurriUNET process. Students will learn the following:

• Traditional Hand-Drawn Animation
• 3D/CGI Animation
• 2D Vector Puppet Animation
• Stop Motion Animation
• Motion Graphics

Narrative Arts

We are proposing the creation of a new Narrative Arts Program, which will include both revised Digital Arts classes and new Narrative Arts courses and Certificates currently undergoing the CurriUNET process. Students will use industry-standard software and equipment, and learn the following:

• Photoshop Fundamentals
• Vector Graphics
• Comic Book Design
• Graphic Novels
• Digital Publishing

Product Design

We are proposing the creation of a new Product Design Program, which will include both revised Digital Arts classes and new Product Design courses and Certificates currently undergoing the CurriUNET process. Students will use industry-standard software and equipment, and learn the following:

• Toy Design
• Consumer Product Design
• 3D Illustration
• CAD using Fusion 360
• 3D Printing
• Fabrication

VFX (3D/CGI)

We are proposing the creation of a new VFX (3D/CGI) Program, which will include mostly revised Digital Arts classes placedunder a new VFX prefix, and revised Certificates. Students will learn the following subjects using industry-standard software and equipment:

• VFX Foundations with Autodesk Maya
• Organic Modeling
• Hard Surface Modeling
• Digital Sculpting with Maxon's ZBrush
• 3D Texturing with Adobe Substance 3D Painter & Mari
• Lighting & Rendering with Aurodesk Arnold
• Unreal Engine
